Dream Weddings In Bali was founded by Australian couple, Chris and Pat Golding. After visiting Bali on a number of occasions in the 90’s, they decided to buy a 25-year lease on a large top floor apartment in Petitenget, in partnership with two friends. In those days, Petitenget was a quiet village on the outskirts of Seminyak.
When they weren’t staying there themselves, they rented out their apartment, which had a large terrace with views stretching down the coast. Almost immediately, some of their guests asked if they could get married there, so they assisted them through the challenges of pulling off a destination wedding in a foreign country, including legal requirements and language challenges.
They served their apprenticeship by working alongside Bali Weddings International as booking agents. At that time, Bali Weddings International were the most established and pioneering destination wedding planners on the island.
During this period, they started their working relationship with Hatra Evans, a Javanese lady resident in Bali who, at that time was married to an expat from London. When Bali Weddings International finally closed their doors, Hatra moved across to Dream Weddings In Bali, working her way up from the role of Senior Wedding Planner to Events Manager in Bali. Hatra is now a business partner and is an invaluable member of the team.
Fast-forward from these humble beginnings, Dream Weddings In Bali is now one of the island’s most recognized and established planning team that combines Western standards of honesty and transparency, combined with local knowledge and expertise.
