Planning a wedding in Bali is like stepping into a dream. The island’s stunning beaches, lush greenery, and vibrant culture create the perfect backdrop for a truly unforgettable celebration. But with so many options out there, it can feel overwhelming to figure out what kind of wedding package suits your style and budget. That’s where I come in. I want to share everything I’ve learned about Bali wedding packages to help you plan a day that’s as magical as you imagine.
Bali Wedding Packages broken down?
At Dream Weddings In Bali, our wedding packages are essentially all-inclusive deals offered by wedding planners, resorts, or venues that bundle together various services for your big day. These packages can range from simple ceremonies on the beach to elaborate multi-day celebrations with traditional Balinese elements. The beauty of these packages is that they take the stress out of organizing everything yourself. Instead, you get a curated experience that covers the essentials and often some extras.
Typically, a Bali wedding package includes:
Venue hire (beach, garden, villa, or resort)
A wedding coordinator and planner
Decorations and floral arrangements
Seating (typically Tiffany chairs)
Personal flowers (bouquets and boutonnieres)
Ceremony music (Rindik players, string quartet or acoustic guitarist)
Photography and videography
Hair and make-up for the couple and their bridesmaids
Power and overhead / ambient lighting
Catering services
A wedding cake
Extras like a photo booth, nannies etc.
Entertainment (live music, a DJ or traditional Balinese dancers
Fireworks and pyrotechnics
Legal paperwork assistance (if needed)
Some of our packages can also include add-ons like spa treatments, hen's & buck's nights, welcome dinners, or honeymoon arrangements. The key is to build a package that fits your vision and budget, while giving you peace of mind by dealing with professionals.

Making a Wedding Package right for you
When you start looking at Bali wedding packages, it’s important to think about what matters most to you. Are you dreaming of a small, intimate ceremony or a big celebration with all your friends and family gathering from around the world? Do you want a traditional Balinese blessing or a modern Western-style wedding with all the bells and whistles? Your answers will guide you to the right package.
Here are some tips to help you choose:
Set your budget early - Bali offers packages for every price range, from budget-friendly to luxury. Knowing your budget helps narrow down options.
Consider the location - Do you want a beachfront ceremony, a garden setting, or a clifftop private villa? Each venue offers a different vibe.
Check what’s included - Some packages cover everything, while others might require you to book extras separately. Make sure you understand what you’re getting. Our wedding packages are fully flexible and can be tailored to match your budget and expectations.
Read reviews and ask for references - Hearing from couples who have used the package can give you confidence in your choice.
Remember, the best package is the one that feels right for you and makes the planning process smooth and enjoyable.
Can Australians get Married in Bali?
If you’re wondering whether Australians can get married in Bali, the answer is yes - but with some important details to keep in mind. Bali weddings can be either symbolic or legal. Many couples choose a symbolic ceremony in Bali and then handle the legal paperwork back home. This option is simpler and less stressful.
For those wanting a legal marriage in Bali, the process involves:
Registering your marriage with the Indonesian Civil Registry
Providing documents like passports, birth certificates, and a Certificate of No Impediment (CNI) from the Australian Consulate in Denpasar
Having a civil ceremony conducted by a locally registered official
The paperwork can be complex and time-consuming, so hiring a professional wedding planner who can guide you through the process is important.

What to expect from a typical Bali Wedding Package
Most of our Bali wedding packages offer a blend of Balinese charm and modern convenience. Here’s a breakdown of what you can typically expect:
Venue and Setup
You’ll usually have a choice of stunning locations, whether it be a beachfront resort, a clifftop wedding chapel, tropical garden ceremonies or luxury private villas. Our setup's usually include a flower gate or circle arch, seating, aisle flowers, flower petal aisle, flower shower and some traditional Balinese elements.
The Ceremony
Our ceremony can be customized to your preferences. Many couples opt for a Western-style ceremony with personal wedding vows and an exchange of rings, while others incorporate Balinese rituals such as the blessing by a Balinese Priest with traditional attire, music or dance performances.
Photography and Videography
Capturing your special day is a must. Our wedding packages usually include professional photographers and videographers who know the best spots and lighting in Bali to create beautiful memories.
Hair and Makeup
Experienced stylists will help you look your best, using natural products suited to Bali’s tropical climate.
Catering
Food is a highlight of any celebration. Our packages offer a range of menus, from local Indonesian buffets to international buffet and set menus and / or food stalls. Tasting sessions can be arranged beforehand to pick your favorites.
Beverages can be a major expense and options vary between wedding venues. If you're looking at a resort hotel wedding, you can usually buy from a range of full flow drinks packages, although we usually suggest setting up a bar tab with the Bar Manager beforehand as the most cost effective way of controlling drinks expenses. A resort hotel will usually charge corkage fees on bottled alcohol brought into the venue, with each bottle showing a customs stamp showing that it was purchased through a licensed outlet in Bali. Duty free alcohol is usually considered for private use only and usually can't be brought into the wedding.
An advantage with booking a private villa for the wedding is that drinks packages are usually cheaper when booked through a private caterer, and they will usually allow bottled alcohol (including duty free) to be brought into the venue without corkage fees.
Extras
Our wedding packages can include extras like spa treatments, welcome dinners, or fireworks (assuming that they're permitted by the local Banjar). These add a special touch and make your wedding feel truly unique.
Tips for making your Bali Wedding truly yours
Your wedding day should reflect your personality and love story. Here are some ways to personalize your Bali wedding package:
Add local touches: Incorporate Balinese traditions Rindik players, a fire dance, traditional Balinese dance or gamelan music.
Choose meaningful decor: Pick flowers and a colour theme that has significance to you.
Create a unique menu: We can work with our caterers to allow you to mix-and-match between menus to combine all your favourite dishes or fusion of flavours into your own personal menu.
Plan activities for guests: Organize group excursions or cultural experiences to make the trip memorable for everyone.
Communicate clearly with your planner: Share your vision and preferences early to avoid surprises.
By making these choices, you’ll ensure your wedding feels authentic and unforgettable.
